This is one of the best 9mm pistols out there. I know there are many, and the Glock 19 is #1 in the US, but the lighter, thinner, full-sized 9mm Glock 17 looks great on Gen 4 backstraps, including beavertails, because the NATO FMJ is great practice, No more litter. High pressure drill cartridges at an affordable price. I mostly use the NATO 239 grain .45 acp Glock 21 model but this is my second favorite. I haven't tried the Gen 5 yet and generally prefer the Gen 4 size Glocks. A better recoil assembly can help with any FTE or messy ejection issues.

I bought it pretty much used without knowing its history. I replaced the trigger and firing pin assembly to improve trigger pull and added fiber optic sights. It was 100% reliable! I have about 7 years. Steel body, recycled and old ammo from the factory - just eat it and spit it out! I have a collection of pistols, I buy and sell them, but I keep it.
I got mine to use a G17, Gen4 Single Action 9mm. I used to shoot double action .40 cal. The ease and feel of shooting is great. It came with different sized back straps which is definitely a plus. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid Flat Face trigger assembly, Extended Slide Release and optical sights. But straight out of the box it shoots great. I have a total of $900 in this gun which I think is worth it given my preferences. It fits well in my hand, accurate, minimal recoil, clear trigger break and quick reset, good balance and reliable. Drawing from the holster is sleek, but not too heavy for concealed carry. Great at the Gun Range and used during Tac Ops. I highly recommend this gun to the new or experienced shooter.

I've had my Gen4 Glock 17 for a few years now and I think it is one of the best 9mm pistols on the market today. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid trigger assembly and fiber optic sights. These options only add to the capabilities of this pistol. In addition, the large back strap and beaver tail provide good feel and comfort. Due to the design angle and shape, comfortable and smooth grip. Needless to say, this is essential in order to gain momentum in order to quickly eliminate the target. As a service firearm, it's light enough not to strain you when you're carrying a heavy pistol all day. At range or during tactics, accuracy is excellent. Shooting with right or left hand is not a problem as it is well balanced. Be it accurate shots or rapid fire, I haven't had a single accident yet. The bottom line is that I highly recommend this pistol for home defense, duty, or even competition shooting.
There was a time in 2015 when my friends and I were in a situation where we didn't have any oil or cleaning kit and we weren't going to have any anytime soon. It was the British Army and we were glad we didn't have to clean the cannons, and it sputtered like a two-stroke engine that after a few rounds the gun didn't fire. Turns out I got into an up close and personal situation and this thing just went on and on and on and on and on and on and on. I still dream about this pistol that was issued to me and how it saved my life.
