However, if you go the other way, it turns out that the .40 S&W magazine you have in your gun can hold one or more rounds than a .45 ACP pistol. In the same magazine comparison as above, the Glock model 22 in .40 full size has two more rounds in its magazine size than the Glock model 21 in .45 full size ACP, 15 to 13.

As a .45 fan, this isn't exactly comforting news, but (as they say) it is what it is. The bottom line for me is that it's amazing that you can even have 13 .45 ACP rounds available for carrying guns, not counting the extra magazine and chamber. Faculty plays a major role in the selection process. But the .40 is still a good choice. It sits in the middle between the 9mm and the .45 ACP and, as Goldilocks observed, the middle may be the best place.

This is one thing that you should not immediately think about when it comes to the quality of the meeting. If you buy a .357 sig barrel for your model 23, you now have a gun in that race. Your .40 publication trails work as a .357 Sig based on the .40 case.

At worst, the follower configuration can cause a potential problem, so you need to take a copy of the 32 magazine. Another race that 23 can easily be converted to 9mm. Buy a conversion barrel for about a hundred dollars and some model 19 magazines and you're now dealing with a 9mm with what essentially becomes a model 19 that says "23" on the slide. It is therefore believed that you can have three guns for the price of one initial gun purchase and some aftermarket parts.

If the ease of changing the quality isn't enough to make 23 attractive, then I don't know what is. That's quite an interesting possibility - one gun, three calibers.

.40 What you know you are not shooting 22 . Recoil is usually described as a RAPID, especially in a lighter pistol. If we remember that the .40 is down to 10mm, the chisel is expandable. When you push a 180 grain bullet to velocities just south of 1000 fps, there are some jump related kickbacks.

You are talking about 400 ft/lbs of energy, like some lower .357 loads. I said above how this round of deer is right in the state, and I can see why. The 10mm will do everything better than the .40 when it comes to hunting, but in terms of concealed carry and personal defense (more on self defense insurance), I can see where the .40 has an advantage over the 10mm.

Now don't get the impression that I think 40 is overkill. It takes a little more time to get going with it if you're firing from a smaller type of gun like a glock 23. It's worth getting the hang of the gun anyway.

This 23 seemed accurate for the handful of shots I took with it. I've said it before: Glocks are generally better than average in accuracy.

The 23 is slightly smaller than the 22, with two less magazine capacity compared to the 22. So it can be a good choice for a concealed carry pistol. The standard 13-round capacity makes it more than enough for most situations, and the small handling strikes a solid balance between full-size and sub-compact handguns. You'll have smaller than full size guns when you carry it, but you can always use full size magazines if you prefer - they might stick out a bit. It is still a simple and reliable and accurate .40 small pistol option.

As a retired LEO, I own several guns (mostly Glocks). This is my favorite concealed carry gun of all time. The .40 caliber gets the job done and the gun shoots without missing a beat. I have shot the SMJ and Halo Points through it with no problems. In the field this little gun outperforms my much loved Kimber 1911 .45. What I mean by this is that my camber has a real problem with the feed streaming. The hand safety is too close to the handle, allowing accidental brushing of the fingers against it to inadvertently engage the safety. These issues lead to failure when recording a rapid live fire sequence. While my Glock 27 has never jammed or failed in live fire mode. I can keep shooting while someone else is busy fixing their problems with other guns. I have come to trust this gun with my life! That's something I can't really say about most other guns!

I bought the GLOCK 27 for concealed carry duty. As a small arms bag with 40 year old stampings you can definitely feel the retro. With practice and repetition, relapse is manageable. I installed a small SIG Romeo RDS on my G27, and I find it very easy to reacquire the target after each shot. From my own experience with this gun, I recommend this setup if you have problems with recoil management (target acquisition due to recoil). For me, this gun is perfect for a close combat application (self defense situation) to just point and shoot, but if there is some distance between me and the target, the red dot will definitely hit the target in a stressful situation. Yeah sure, you can do it, John Wick killing guys with a pen, but is that ideal? no. The Glock only includes one magazine with an add-on, what the heck?! I went out and bought a Pierce Grip mag extension for the second magazine, which gives me plus 2 rounds to the standard 9 bullet weak bit capacity, and now I'm not happy with my setup. Magazine changes with speed and efficiency can be difficult due to the pistol's short grip. But with a little practice, fluency follows.

I know there are many, and the Glock 19 is #1 in the US, but the lighter, thinner, full-sized 9mm Glock 17 looks great on Gen 4 backstraps, including beavertails, because the NATO FMJ is great practice, No more litter. High pressure drill cartridges at an affordable price. I mostly use the NATO 239 grain .45 acp Glock 21 model but this is my second favorite. I haven't tried the Gen 5 yet and generally prefer the Gen 4 size Glocks. A better recoil assembly can help with any FTE or messy ejection issues.

I've had my Gen4 Glock 17 for a few years now and I think it is one of the best 9mm pistols on the market today. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid trigger assembly and fiber optic sights. These options only add to the capabilities of this pistol. In addition, the large back strap and beaver tail provide good feel and comfort. Due to the design angle and shape, comfortable and smooth grip. Needless to say, this is essential in order to gain momentum in order to quickly eliminate the target. As a service firearm, it's light enough not to strain you when you're carrying a heavy pistol all day. At range or during tactics, accuracy is excellent. Shooting with right or left hand is not a problem as it is well balanced. Be it accurate shots or rapid fire, I haven't had a single accident yet.
